Another version of the planning application for relocation of current plotholders was registered with Waltham Forest council on 30th March.

The site is in the same controversial location of questionable quality on public open space at Marsh Lane E10 and is again likely meet considerable opposition from other users of the area. This application is now for only 64 plots – there are 81 rented plots on the existing site. This is unlikely to impress the many people on the waiting list and all those concerned at the continuing loss of allotment space in London, or those who believed the assurances of the Olympic promoters that replacement land of at least the same size and quality would be provided.
